Just came back from a 2 nights 3 days trip to Penang with sissy and Sam :))

its so hazy!

I think I'm getting old cause I can't remember as much details as I used to last time. Well anyways, we wanted to stay at Shangri - La of course, but uncle Gordon could only get us half off the normal rate which totalled to RM450++ a night. which was still quite expensive.

so we had no other choice but to stay elsewhere. Booked a room at the Evergreen Laurel Hotel. it wasn't that bad. plus, it's like a 20 minute walk to Gurney.

Sam & Jessy always shower with super hot water until got steam. I can't shower that hot.

Started the journey at around 11am. initially we said we would wake up and leave by 7am but my sister and Sam couldn't wake up. as usual.

so we started quite late, plus there was a massive traffic jam in between Ipoh & Taiping. 2 trucks overturned, we were stuck and moved about 200m for the past 1 hour & 30 minutes.

it was insane.

reached and checked in the hotel at around 5pm. so we just hopped on down to Gurney for dinner. tah pau-ed super lots of food to the room and eat :))!

we had so much. The next night we went up to Bukit Ferringi and visited all the hotels around the coast line!

went to Hard Rock! man. that place is amazing. I wouldn't mind staying there one day! though it wouldn't be that nice to chill around the pool area cause it was quite crowded and there was children running around and screaming.

After a quick tour, we went to Park Royal next. I spent half my childhood in that hotel. It hasn't change one bit! so much memories in this hotel.

It was still early, and the stores were just about getting ready to open so we went for dinner first. food wasn't that great. Oh speaking of food, the best is still the nasi kandar :) oh yums. bom inside your stomach :))

damn sad, I didn't get much. tsk. I've always wanted to go Penang and shop for DVDs all the time, but when I'm there, there's nothing to get. very disappointed.

finally got ready after a few hours. we like to dilly dally when sissy's back cause she'll always get distracted from getting ready. she's silly.

anyways, plans for today was to hit Digital Mall so I could take a look at the camera I wanted to get which was the Lumix GF2. I don't even know why I wanted or how I thought of getting it in the first place.

all I remember was wanting a camera, the next day coincidentally Panasonic sent me their catalog and I saw the camera I wanted on it. googled more about it.

it wasn't even really on my mind until today. decided to just take a look and stuff. I ended up buying it after seeing in at the first stall I stopped at.

it's faith :) it's destined to be mine!

lol. not a bad price. paid RM 1999 for it. I wanted the black at first but sissy and the lady got me very into the white. so I got the white :)

with what I paid, it came with this 14-42mm lens, battery, 8 GB memory card, a camera bag, a sun protector thingy. and she threw in two 4 GB (RM 99) memory card and a lens protector that costs RM200 for free :)

now seeing it, I don't really like how long the lens is! that's long..
don't care! still love it with its flaws!

the lady was quite nice. I really liked her. she was friendly and honest. so buy! I couldn't believe I bought it either! usually I'll take months to think it over and make a pro/con list but this was impulsive buying :s

who I must say bought another 2 pairs of Fit Flops this morning! after having bought a pair of ballet flats on Monday! her FitFlops slippers costs RM300 a pair okay!

she's still the pure shopaholic in the family. I come in 4th after her, brother and sissy. actually, everyone in this family is kind of a shopaholic in our own ways... crap.

well anyways. no regret! it was a little scary taking out RM2000 from the ATM machine! I've never carried so many RM50 notes before! HAHAA. yes, I had to 'press' money out because I didn't thought of buying my camera then and there!

but I'm glad I did :) finally something I got with my own money. though mums said she'll reimburse me RM1000 :)

Don't let the trailer deceive you. there's more than meets the eye :p HAHA. Mike is just too much of a genius. There's surprises, there's action, there's humour, there's everything you need in a kickass movie :))

ooh I must say, kudos to Rosie Hungtington-Whiteley. I thought she's going to be yet another plastic and all stiff in the movie but actually she did a phenomenal job! I was impressed, and I believed. I give you a standing ovation. good job on her first movie.

& I can't forget Shia LaBeouf, can I? ohyeah my man. I'm in love. heh. he's so handsome. I just love him so darn much! && Josh Duhamel ;))!

the only thing that didn't sit right with me was Rosie's white shirt at the final battle. everyone was all dirty and sweaty but her white shirt and face still clean and powder fresh! c'mon.

iMovie - X-Men First Class.

It was alright. wasn't as good as the original X-Men movies. most of the talking scenes are boring, and there's A LOOT of the talking scenes. It needs more action scenes.

though I must say, James McAvoy did portray Charles Xavier perfectly. I was convinced.

The only thing they did wrong was put Professor X in the wheelchair. if you remember the X-Men Last Standing movie, you'll notice that Professor X and Magneto was walking into Jean's house, all old and bold.

so, question is, how could Professor X be in a wheel chair so young, yet went into Jean's house walking, old and wrinkly?

My brother is gunning for a record here. he has been going to cinemas, watching a movie each & every day since he came home.
